Nehemiah 10

1And the subscribers were Nehemias, Athersatha the son of Hachelai, and Sedecias,

2Saraias, Azarias, Jeremiah,

3Pheshur, Amarias, Melchias,

4Hattus, Sebenia, Melluch,

5Harem, Merimuth, Obdias,

6Daniel, Genthon, Baruch,

7Mosollam, Abia, Miamin,

8Maazia, Belgia, Semeia: these were priests.

9And the Levites, Josue the son of Azanias, Bennui of the sons of Henadad, Cedmihel,

10And their brethren, Sebenia, Oduia, Celita, Phalaia, Hanan,

11Micha, Rohob, Hasebia,

12Zachur, Serebia, Sabania,

13Odaia, Bani, Baninu.

14The heads of the people, Pharos, Phahath Moab, Elam, Zethu, Bani,

15Bonni, Azgad, Bebai,

16Adonia, Begoai, Adin,

17Ater, Hezecia, Azur,

18Odaia, Hasum, Besai,

19Hareph, Anathoth, Nebai,

20Megphias, Mosollam, Hazir,

21Mesizabel, Sadoc, Jeddua,

22Pheltia, Hanan, Anaia,

23Osee, Hanania, Hasub,

24Alohes, Phalea, Sobec,

25Rehum, Hasebna, Maasia,

26Echaia, Hanan, Anan,

27Melluch, Haran, Baana:

28And the rest of the people, priests, Levites, porters, and singing men, Nathinites, and all that had separated themselves from the people of the lands to the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters.

29All that could understand, promising for their brethren, with their chief men, and they came to promise, and swear that they would walk in the law of God, which he gave in the hand of Moses the servant of God, that they would do and keep all the commandments of the Lord our God, and his judgments and his ceremonies.

30And that we would not give our daughters to the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons.

31And if the people of the land bring in things to sell, or any things for use, to sell them on the sabbath day, that we would not buy them on the sabbath, or on the holy day. And that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every hand.

32And we made ordinances for ourselves, to give the third part of a sicle every year for the work of the house of our God,

33For the loaves of proposition, and for the continual sacrifice, and for a continual holocaust on the sabbaths, on the new moons, on the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offering: that atonement might be made for Israel, and for every use of the house of our God.

34And we cast lots among the priests, and the Levites, and the people for the offering of wood, that it might be brought into the house of our God by the houses of our fathers at set times, from year to year: to burn upon the altar of the Lord our God, as it is written in the law of Moses:

35And that we would bring the firstfruits of our land, and the firstfruits of all fruit of every tree, from year to year, in the house of our Lord.

36And the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our oxen, and of our sheep, to be offered in the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God.

37And that we would bring the firstfruits of our meats, and of our libations, and the fruit of every tree, of the vintage also and of oil to the priests, to the storehouse of our God, and the tithes of our ground to the Levites. The Levites also shall receive the tithes of our works out of all the cities.

38And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites in the tithes of the Levites, and the Levites shall offer the tithe of their tithes in the house of our God, to the storeroom into the treasure house.

39For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall carry to the treasury the firstfruits of corn, of wine, and of oil: and the sanctified vessels shall be there, and the priests, and the singing men, and the porters, and ministers, and we will not forsake the house of our God.

15Capita populi, Pharos, Phahathmoab, Ælam, Zethu, Bani,

16Bonni, Azgad, Bebai,

17Adonia, Begoai, Adin,

18Ater, Hezecia, Azur,

29Et reliqui de populo, sacerdotes, Levitæ, janitores, et cantores, Nathinæi, et omnes qui se separaverunt de populis terrarum ad legem Dei, uxores eorum, filii eorum, et filiæ eorum,

30omnes qui poterant sapere spondentes pro fratribus suis, optimates eorum, et qui veniebant ad pollicendum et jurandum ut ambularent in lege Dei, quam dederat in manu Moysi servi Dei : ut facerent et custodirent universa mandata Domini Dei nostri, et judicia ejus et cæremonias ejus:

31et ut non daremus filias nostras populo terræ, et filias eorum non acciperemus filiis nostris.

32Populi quoque terræ, qui important venalia, et omnia ad usum, per diem sabbati ut vendant, non accipiemus ab eis in sabbato et in die sanctificato. Et dimittemus annum septimum, et exactionem universæ manus.

33Et statuemus super nos præcepta, ut demus tertiam partem sicli per annum ad opus domus Dei nostri,

34ad panes propositionis, et ad sacrificium sempiternum, et in holocaustum sempiternum in sabbatis, in calendis, in solemnitatibus, et in sanctificatis, et pro peccato : ut exoretur pro Israël, et in omnem usum domus Dei nostri.

35Sortes ergo misimus super oblationem lignorum inter sacerdotes, et Levitas, et populum, ut inferrentur in domum Dei nostri per domos patrum nostrorum, per tempora, a temporibus anni usque ad annum : ut arderent super altare Domini Dei nostri, sicut scriptum est in lege Moysi:

36et ut afferremus primogenita terræ nostræ, et primitiva universi fructus omnis ligni, ab anno in annum, in domo Domini:

37et primitiva filiorum nostrorum et pecorum nostrorum, sicut scriptum est in lege, et primitiva boum nostrorum et ovium nostrarum, ut offerrentur in domo Dei nostri, sacerdotibus qui ministrant in domo Dei nostri:

38et primitias ciborum nostrorum, et libaminum nostrorum, et poma omnis ligni, vindemiæ quoque et olei, afferemus sacerdotibus ad gazophylacium Dei nostri, et decimam partem terræ nostræ Levitis. Ipsi Levitæ decimas accipient ex omnibus civitatibus operum nostrorum.

39Erit autem sacerdos filius Aaron cum Levitis in decimis Levitarum, et Levitæ offerent decimam partem decimæ suæ in domo Dei nostri ad gazophylacium in domum thesauri.

40Ad gazophylacium enim deportabunt filii Israël, et filii Levi, primitias frumenti, vini, et olei : et ibi erunt vasa sanctificata, et sacerdotes, et cantores, et janitores, et ministri : et non dimittemus domum Dei nostri.

1καὶ ἐν πᾶσι τούτοις ἡμεῖς διατιθέμεθα πίστιν καὶ γράφομεν καὶ ἐπισφραγίζουσιν πάντες ἄρχοντες ἡμῶν Λευῖται ἡμῶν ἱερεῖς ἡμῶν

2καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν σφραγιζόντων Νεεμιας υἱὸς Αχαλια καὶ Σεδεκιας

3υἱὸς Σαραια καὶ Αζαρια καὶ Ιερμια

29καὶ οἱ κατάλοιποι τοῦ λαοῦ οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ Λευῖται οἱ πυλωροί οἱ ᾄδοντες οἱ ναθινιμ καὶ πᾶς ὁ προσπορευόμενος ἀπὸ λαῶν τῆς γῆς πρὸς νόμον τοῦ θεοῦ γυναῖκες αὐτῶν υἱοὶ αὐτῶν θυγατέρες αὐτῶν πᾶς ὁ εἰδὼς καὶ συνίων

30ἐνίσχυον ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτῶν κατηράσαντο αὐτοὺς καὶ εἰσήλθοσαν ἐν ἀρᾷ καὶ ἐν ὅρκῳ τοῦ πορεύεσθαι ἐν νόμῳ τοῦ θεοῦ ὃς ἐδόθη ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ δούλου τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ φυλάσσεσθαι καὶ ποιεῖν πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς κυρίου ἡμῶν καὶ κρίματα αὐτοῦ

31καὶ τοῦ μὴ δοῦναι θυγατέρας ἡμῶν τοῖς λαοῖς τῆς γῆς καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας αὐτῶν οὐ λημψόμεθα τοῖς υἱοῖς ἡμῶν

32καὶ λαοὶ τῆς γῆς οἱ φέροντες τοὺς ἀγορασμοὺς καὶ πᾶσαν πρᾶσιν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ σαββάτου ἀποδόσθαι οὐκ ἀγορῶμεν παρ' αὐτῶν ἐν σαββάτῳ καὶ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ἁγίᾳ καὶ ἀνήσομεν τὸ ἔτος τὸ ἕβδομον καὶ ἀπαίτησιν πάσης χειρός

33καὶ στήσομεν ἐφ' ἡμᾶς ἐντολὰς δοῦναι ἐφ' ἡμᾶς τρίτον τοῦ διδράχμου κατ' ἐνιαυτὸν εἰς δουλείαν οἴκου θεοῦ ἡμῶν

34εἰς ἄρτους τοῦ προσώπου καὶ θυσίαν τοῦ ἐνδελεχισμοῦ καὶ εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα τοῦ ἐνδελεχισμοῦ τῶν σαββάτων τῶν νουμηνιῶν εἰς τὰς ἑορτὰς καὶ εἰς τὰ ἅγια καὶ τὰ περὶ ἁμαρτίας ἐξιλάσασθαι περὶ Ισραηλ καὶ εἰς ἔργα οἴκου θεοῦ ἡμῶν

35καὶ κλήρους ἐβάλομεν περὶ κλήρου ξυλοφορίας οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ Λευῖται καὶ ὁ λαός ἐνέγκαι εἰς οἶκον θεοῦ ἡμῶν εἰς οἶκον πατριῶν ἡμῶν εἰς καιροὺς ἀπὸ χρόνων ἐνιαυτὸν κατ' ἐνιαυτόν ἐκκαῦσαι ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον κυρίου θεοῦ ἡμῶν ὡς γέγραπται ἐν τῷ νόμῳ

36καὶ ἐνέγκαι τὰ πρωτογενήματα τῆς γῆς ἡμῶν καὶ πρωτογενήματα καρποῦ παντὸς ξύλου ἐνιαυτὸν κατ' ἐνιαυτὸν εἰς οἶκον κυρίου

37καὶ τὰ πρωτότοκα υἱῶν ἡμῶν καὶ κτηνῶν ἡμῶν ὡς γέγραπται ἐν τῷ νόμῳ καὶ τὰ πρωτότοκα βοῶν ἡμῶν καὶ ποιμνίων ἡμῶν ἐνέγκαι εἰς οἶκον θεοῦ ἡμῶν τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν τοῖς λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν οἴκῳ θεοῦ ἡμῶν

38καὶ τὴν ἀπαρχὴν σίτων ἡμῶν καὶ τὸν καρπὸν παντὸς ξύλου οἴνου καὶ ἐλαίου οἴσομεν τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν εἰς γαζοφυλάκιον οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ δεκάτην γῆς ἡμῶν τοῖς Λευίταις καὶ αὐτοὶ οἱ Λευῖται δεκατοῦντες ἐν πάσαις πόλεσιν δουλείας ἡμῶν

39καὶ ἔσται ὁ ἱερεὺς υἱὸς Ααρων μετὰ τοῦ Λευίτου ἐν τῇ δεκάτῃ τοῦ Λευίτου καὶ οἱ Λευῖται ἀνοίσουσιν τὴν δεκάτην τῆς δεκάτης εἰς οἶκον θεοῦ ἡμῶν εἰς τὰ γαζοφυλάκια εἰς οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ

40ὅτι εἰς τοὺς θησαυροὺς εἰσοίσουσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ τοῦ Λευι τὰς ἀπαρχὰς τοῦ σίτου καὶ τοῦ οἴνου καὶ τοῦ ἐλαίου καὶ ἐκεῖ σκεύη τὰ ἅγια καὶ οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ λειτουργοὶ καὶ οἱ πυλωροὶ καὶ οἱ ᾄδοντες καὶ οὐκ ἐγκαταλείψομεν τὸν οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν
