Genesis 5

1This is the book of the generation of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him to the likeness of God.

2He created them male and female; and blessed them: and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

3And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot a son to his own image and likeness, and called his name Seth.

4And the days of Adam, after he begot Seth, were eight hundred years: and he begot sons and daughters.

5And all the time that Adam lived, came to nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.

6Seth also lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enos.

7And Seth lived after he begot Enos, eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters.

8And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.

9And Enos lived ninety years, and begot Cainan.

10After whose birth he lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters.

11And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years, and he died.

12And Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Malaleel.

13And Cainan lived after he begot Malaleel, eight hundred and forty years, and begot sons and daughters.

14And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.

15And Malaleel lived sixty-five years and begot Jared.

16And Malaleel lived after he begot Jared, eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.

17And all the days of Malaleel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died.

18And Jared lived a hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Henoch.

19And Jared lived after he begot Henoch, eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.

20And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.

21And Henoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Mathusala.

22And Henoch walked with God: and lived after he begot Mathusala, three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.

23And all the days of Henoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.

24And he walked with God, and was seen no more: because God took him.

25And Mathusala lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech.

26And Mathusala lived after he begot Lamech, seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters.

27And all the days of Mathusala were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.

28And Lamech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son.

29And he called his name Noe, saying: This same shall comfort us from the works and labours of our hands on the earth, which the Lord hath cursed.

30And Lamech lived after he begot Noe, five hundred and ninety-five years, and begot sons and daughters.

31And all the days of Lamech came to seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died. And Noe, when he was five hundred years old, begot Sem, Cham, and Japheth.

1Hic est liber generationis Adam. In die qua creavit Deus hominem, ad similitudinem Dei fecit illum.

2Masculum et feminam creavit eos, et benedixit illis : et vocavit nomen eorum Adam, in die quo creati sunt.

3Vixit autem Adam centum triginta annis : et genuit ad imaginem et similitudinem suam, vocavitque nomen ejus Seth.

4Et facti sunt dies Adam, postquam genuit Seth, octingenti anni : genuitque filios et filias.

5Et factum est omne tempus quod vixit Adam, anni nongenti triginta, et mortuus est.

6Vixit quoque Seth centum quinque annis, et genuit Enos.

7Vixitque Seth, postquam genuit Enos, octingentis septem annis, genuitque filios et filias.

8Et facti sunt omnes dies Seth nongentorum duodecim annorum, et mortuus est.

9Vixit vero Enos nonaginta annis, et genuit Cainan.

10Post cujus ortum vixit octingentis quindecim annis, et genuit filios et filias.

11Factique sunt omnes dies Enos nongenti quinque anni, et mortuus est.

12Vixit quoque Cainan septuaginta annis, et genuit Malaleel.

13Et vixit Cainan, postquam genuit Malaleel, octingentis quadraginta annis, genuitque filios et filias.

14Et facti sunt omnes dies Cainan nongenti decem anni, et mortuus est.

15Vixit autem Malaleel sexaginta quinque annis, et genuit Jared.

16Et vixit Malaleel, postquam genuit Jared, octingentis triginta annis, et genuit filios et filias.

17Et facti sunt omnes dies Malaleel octingenti nonaginta quinque anni, et mortuus est.

18Vixitque Jared centum sexaginta duobus annis, et genuit Henoch.

19Et vixit Jared, postquam genuit Henoch, octingentis annis, et genuit filios et filias.

20Et facti sunt omnes dies Jared nongenti sexaginta duo anni, et mortuus est.

21Porro Henoch vixit sexaginta quinque annis, et genuit Mathusalam.

22Et ambulavit Henoch cum Deo : et vixit, postquam genuit Mathusalam, trecentis annis, et genuit filios et filias.

23Et facti sunt omnes dies Henoch trecenti sexaginta quinque anni.

24Ambulavitque cum Deo, et non apparuit : quia tulit eum Deus.

25Vixit quoque Mathusala centum octoginta septem annis, et genuit Lamech.

26Et vixit Mathusala, postquam genuit Lamech, septingentis octoginta duobus annis, et genuit filios et filias.

27Et facti sunt omnes dies Mathusala nongenti sexaginta novem anni, et mortuus est.

28Vixit autem Lamech centum octoginta duobus annis, et genuit filium:

29vocavitque nomen ejus Noë, dicens : Iste consolabitur nos ab operibus et laboribus manuum nostrarum in terra, cui maledixit Dominus.

30Vixitque Lamech, postquam genuit Noë, quingentis nonaginta quinque annis, et genuit filios et filias.

31Et facti sunt omnes dies Lamech septingenti septuaginta septem anni, et mortuus est.

32Noë vero cum quingentorum esset annorum, genuit Sem, Cham et Japheth.

1αὕτη ἡ βίβλος γενέσεως ἀνθρώπων ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐποίησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν Αδαμ κατ' εἰκόνα θεοῦ ἐποίησεν αὐτόν

2ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ ἐποίησεν αὐτοὺς καὶ εὐλόγησεν αὐτούς καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῶν Αδαμ ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐποίησεν αὐτούς

3ἔζησεν δὲ Αδαμ διακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν κατὰ τὴν ἰδέαν αὐτοῦ καὶ κατὰ τὴν εἰκόνα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Σηθ

4ἐγένοντο δὲ αἱ ἡμέραι Αδαμ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Σηθ ἑπτακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

5καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Αδαμ ἃς ἔζησεν ἐννακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

6ἔζησεν δὲ Σηθ διακόσια καὶ πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ενως

7καὶ ἔζησεν Σηθ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ενως ἑπτακόσια καὶ ἑπτὰ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

8καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Σηθ ἐννακόσια καὶ δώδεκα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

9καὶ ἔζησεν Ενως ἑκατὸν ἐνενήκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Καιναν

10καὶ ἔζησεν Ενως μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Καιναν ἑπτακόσια καὶ δέκα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

11καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ενως ἐννακόσια καὶ πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

12καὶ ἔζησεν Καιναν ἑκατὸν ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Μαλελεηλ

13καὶ ἔζησεν Καιναν μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Μαλελεηλ ἑπτακόσια καὶ τεσσαράκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

14καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Καιναν ἐννακόσια καὶ δέκα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

15καὶ ἔζησεν Μαλελεηλ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ιαρεδ

16καὶ ἔζησεν Μαλελεηλ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ιαρεδ ἑπτακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

17καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Μαλελεηλ ὀκτακόσια καὶ ἐνενήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

18καὶ ἔζησεν Ιαρεδ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα δύο ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ενωχ

19καὶ ἔζησεν Ιαρεδ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ενωχ ὀκτακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

20καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ιαρεδ ἐννακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα δύο ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

21καὶ ἔζησεν Ενωχ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Μαθουσαλα

22εὐηρέστησεν δὲ Ενωχ τῷ θεῷ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Μαθουσαλα διακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

23καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ενωχ τριακόσια ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη

24καὶ εὐηρέστησεν Ενωχ τῷ θεῷ καὶ οὐχ ηὑρίσκετο ὅτι μετέθηκεν αὐτὸν ὁ θεός

25καὶ ἔζησεν Μαθουσαλα ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα ἑπτὰ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Λαμεχ

26καὶ ἔζησεν Μαθουσαλα μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Λαμεχ ὀκτακόσια δύο ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

27καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Μαθουσαλα ἃς ἔζησεν ἐννακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα ἐννέα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

28καὶ ἔζησεν Λαμεχ ἑκατὸν ὀγδοήκοντα ὀκτὼ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱὸν

29καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Νωε λέγων οὗτος διαναπαύσει ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ τῶν ἔργων ἡμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν λυπῶν τῶν χειρῶν ἡμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἧς κατηράσατο κύριος ὁ θεός

30καὶ ἔζησεν Λαμεχ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Νωε πεντακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

31καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Λαμεχ ἑπτακόσια καὶ πεντήκοντα τρία ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

32καὶ ἦν Νωε ἐτῶν πεντακοσίων καὶ ἐγέννησεν Νωε τρεῖς υἱούς τὸν Σημ τὸν Χαμ τὸν Ιαφεθ
