Opening Prayer
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
O Lord Jesus Christ, we come to follow Thee along the way of Thy Cross. Grant us true contrition for our sins, compassion for Thy Passion, and faithful love for Thee and for every person redeemed by Thy Precious Blood. Unite the sufferings we cannot avoid to Thy saving Cross, teach us to relieve the suffering of others, and keep us faithful to Thee unto the end. Amen.
I — Jesus Is Condemned to Death

John 19:12 And from henceforth Pilate sought to release him. But the Jews cried out, saying: If thou release this man, thou art not Caesar’s friend. For whosoever maketh himself a king, speaketh against Caesar.

John 19:14 And it was the parasceve of the pasch, about the sixth hour, and he saith to the Jews: Behold your king.

II — Jesus Takes Up His Cross

III — Jesus Falls the First Time

Meditation: Beneath the weight of the Cross, the tortured Lord falls in true human weakness. His fall teaches us not to surrender to shame, but to rise again and to meet weakness with mercy.
Intention: Pray for those humiliated by weakness, relapse, disability, or exhaustion.
Prayer: O Jesus, fallen beneath the weight of the Cross, raise me quickly whenever I fall into sin or discouragement. Make me patient with my own weakness and merciful toward the weakness of others. Amen.

IV — Jesus Meets His Blessed Mother

X — Jesus Is Stripped of His Garments
