The argument
John places the Word on the Creator side of the Creator-creature distinction: all created things came through Him. Hebrews contrasts the Son with the angels and commands the angels to adore Him. Christ’s assumed humanity explains His obedience and suffering without reducing His divine identity.
The opposing position
Witnesses identify Jesus with Michael and distinguish honor given to Christ from worship owed to Jehovah.

Is Jesus the archangel Michael?
Scripture distinguishes the Son from every angel. All angels are created through the Son and are commanded to adore Him; Michael is one of the angelic princes, not the eternal Word.

Does “firstborn of all creation” mean Jesus was created?
In biblical usage firstborn can express rank and inheritance. Colossians immediately explains the title by saying all created things came through and for the Son and that He is before all things.

Should Christians worship Jesus?
The New Testament depicts divine honor, invocation, doxology, and adoration directed to Christ while maintaining monotheism. Christian worship of the Son is worship of the one God shared with the Father and Holy Spirit.
