When to Seek Pastoral Help

• Contact your parish and request an appointment rather than presenting the issue in a public setting.
• Describe observable events and their timing without embellishment.
• Share relevant medical, psychological, substance-use, trauma, and occult history honestly.
• Follow through on ordinary sacramental and practical recommendations.

If a priest finds reason for further review, he can follow diocesan channels. The individual does not need to locate or pressure an exorcist independently.

Discernment may take time. Patience, documentation, confidentiality, and cooperation are more useful than repeated demands for a particular diagnosis.

• Threats or plans of suicide or violence.
• Severe confusion, inability to care for basic needs, or loss of contact with reality.
• Suspected abuse, trafficking, coercive control, or exploitation.
• Medical symptoms that may be urgent.
• A child or vulnerable adult placed at risk by an untrained ministry session.
