1 Chronicles 2

And these are the sons of Israel: Ruben, Simeon, Levi, Juda, Issachar, and Zabulon,

Filii autem Israël : Ruben, Simeon, Levi, Juda, Issachar, et Zabulon,

ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ Ρουβην Συμεων Λευι Ιουδα Ισσαχαρ Ζαβουλων

Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Nephtali, Gad, and Aser.

The sons of Juda: Her, Onan and Sela. These three were born to him of the Chanaanitess the daughter of Sue. And Her the firstborn of Juda, was wicked in the sight of the Lord, and he slew him.

Filii Juda : Her, Onan, et Sela : hi tres nati sunt ei de filia Sue Chananitide. Fuit autem Her primogenitus Juda malus coram Domino, et occidit eum.

υἱοὶ Ιουδα Ηρ Αυναν Σηλων τρεῖς ἐγεννήθησαν αὐτῷ ἐκ τῆς θυγατρὸς Σαυας τῆς Χαναανίτιδος καὶ ἦν Ηρ ὁ πρωτότοκος Ιουδα πονηρὸς ἐναντίον κυρίου καὶ ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτόν

And Thamar his daughter in law bore him Phares and Zara. So all the sons of Juda were five.

Thamar autem nurus ejus peperit ei Phares et Zara : omnes ergo filii Juda, quinque.

καὶ Θαμαρ ἡ νύμφη αὐτοῦ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Φαρες καὶ τὸν Ζαρα πάντες υἱοὶ Ιουδα πέντε

And the sons of Phares, were Hesron and Hamul.

Filii autem Phares : Hesron et Hamul.

υἱοὶ Φαρες Αρσων καὶ Ιεμουηλ

And the sons also of Zare: Zamri, and Ethan, and Eman, and Chalchal, and Dara, five in all.

Filii quoque Zaræ : Zamri, et Ethan, et Eman, Chalchal quoque, et Dara, simul quinque.

καὶ υἱοὶ Ζαρα Ζαμβρι καὶ Αιθαν καὶ Αιμαν καὶ Χαλχαλ καὶ Δαρα πάντες πέντε

And the sons of Charmi: Achar, who troubled Israel, and sinned by the theft of the anathema.

Filii Charmi : Achar, qui turbavit Israël, et peccavit in furto anathematis.

καὶ υἱοὶ Χαρμι Αχαρ ὁ ἐμποδοστάτης Ισραηλ ὃς ἠθέτησεν εἰς τὸ ἀνάθεμα

The sons of Ethan: Azarias,

Filii Ethan : Azarias.

καὶ υἱοὶ Αιθαν Αζαρια

And the sons of Hesron that were born to him: Jerameel, and Ram, and Calubi.

Filii autem Hesron qui nati sunt ei : Jerameel, et Ram, et Calubi.

καὶ υἱοὶ Εσερων οἳ ἐτέχθησαν αὐτῷ ὁ Ιραμεηλ καὶ ὁ Ραμ καὶ ὁ Χαλεβ καὶ Αραμ

And Ram begot Aminadab, and Aminadab begot Nahasson, prince of the children of Juda.

Porro Ram genuit Aminadab. Aminadab autem genuit Nahasson, principem filiorum Juda.

καὶ Αραμ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Αμιναδαβ καὶ Αμιναδαβ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ναασσων ἄρχοντα τοῦ οἴκου Ιουδα

And Nahasson begot Salma, the father of Booz.

Nahasson quoque genuit Salma, de quo ortus est Booz.

καὶ Ναασσων ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαλμων καὶ Σαλμων ἐγέννησεν τὸν Βοος

And Booz begot Obed, and Obed begot Isai.

Booz vero genuit Obed, qui et ipse genuit Isai.

καὶ Βοος ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ωβηδ καὶ Ωβηδ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ιεσσαι

And Isai begot Eliab his firstborn, the second Abinadab, the third Simmaa,

Isai autem genuit primogenitum Eliab, secundum Abinadab, tertium Simmaa,

καὶ Ιεσσαι ἐγέννησεν τὸν πρωτότοκον αὐτοῦ Ελιαβ Αμιναδαβ ὁ δεύτερος Σαμαα ὁ τρίτος

The fourth, Nathanael, the fifth Raddai,

quartum Nathanaël, quintum Raddai,

Ναθαναηλ ὁ τέταρτος Ραδδαι ὁ πέμπτος

The sixth Asom, the seventh David.

sextum Asom, septimum David.

Ασομ ὁ ἕκτος Δαυιδ ὁ ἕβδομος

And their sisters were Sarvia, and Abigail. The sons of Sarvia: Abisai, Joab, and Asael, three.

Quorum sorores fuerunt Sarvia et Abigail. Filii Sarviæ : Abisai, Joab, et Asaël, tres.

καὶ ἀδελφὴ αὐτῶν Σαρουια καὶ Αβιγαια καὶ υἱοὶ Σαρουια Αβεσσα καὶ Ιωαβ καὶ Ασαηλ τρεῖς

And Abigail bore Amasa, whose father was Jether the Ismahelite.

Abigail autem genuit Amasa, cujus pater fuit Jether Ismahelites.

καὶ Αβιγαια ἐγέννησεν τὸν Αμεσσα καὶ πατὴρ Αμεσσα Ιοθορ ὁ Ισμαηλίτης

And Caleb the son of Hesron took a wife named Azuba, of whom he had Jerioth: and her sons were Jaser, and Sobab, and Ardon.

Caleb vero filius Hesron accepit uxorem nomine Azuba, de qua genuit Jerioth : fueruntque filii ejus Jaser, et Sobab, et Ardon.

καὶ Χαλεβ υἱὸς Εσερων ἐγέννησεν τὴν Γαζουβα γυναῖκα καὶ τὴν Ιεριωθ καὶ οὗτοι υἱοὶ αὐτῆς Ιωασαρ καὶ Σωβαβ καὶ Ορνα

And when Azuba was dead, Caleb took to wife Ephrata: who bore him Hur.

Cumque mortua fuisset Azuba, accepit uxorem Caleb Ephratha, quæ peperit ei Hur.

καὶ ἀπέθανεν Γαζουβα καὶ ἔλαβεν ἑαυτῷ Χαλεβ τὴν Εφραθ καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Ωρ

And Hur begot Uri: and Uri begot Bezeleel.

Porro Hur genuit Uri, et Uri genuit Bezeleel.

καὶ Ωρ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ουρι καὶ Ουρι ἐγέννησεν τὸν Βεσελεηλ

And afterwards Hesron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Galaad, and took her to wife when he was threescore years old: and she bore him Segub.

Post hæc ingressus est Hesron ad filiam Machir patris Galaad, et accepit eam cum esset annorum sexaginta : quæ peperit ei Segub.

καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσῆλθεν Εσερων πρὸς τὴν θυγατέρα Μαχιρ πατρὸς Γαλααδ καὶ οὗτος ἔλαβεν αὐτήν καὶ αὐτὸς ἑξήκοντα ἦν ἐτῶν καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Σεγουβ

And Segub begot Jair, and he had three and twenty cities in the land of Galaad.

Sed et Segub genuit Jair, et possedit viginti tres civitates in terra Galaad.

καὶ Σεγουβ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ιαϊρ καὶ ἦσαν αὐτῷ εἴκοσι τρεῖς πόλεις ἐν τῇ Γαλααδ

And he took Gessur, and Aram the towns of Jair, and Canath, and the villages thereof, threescore cities. All these, the sons of Machir father of Galaad.

Cepitque Gessur et Aram oppida Jair, et Canath, et viculos ejus sexaginta civitatum : omnes isti filii Machir patris Galaad.

καὶ ἔλαβεν Γεδσουρ καὶ Αραμ τὰς κώμας Ιαϊρ ἐξ αὐτῶν τὴν Καναθ καὶ τὰς κώμας αὐτῆς ἑξήκοντα πόλεις πᾶσαι αὗται υἱῶν Μαχιρ πατρὸς Γαλααδ

And when Hesron was dead, Caleb went in to Ephrata. Hesron also had to wife Abia who bore him Ashur the father of Thecua.

Cum autem mortuus esset Hesron, ingressus est Caleb ad Ephratha. Habuit quoque Hesron uxorem Abia, quæ peperit ei Assur patrem Thecuæ.

καὶ μετὰ τὸ ἀποθανεῖν Εσερων ἦλθεν Χαλεβ εἰς Εφραθα καὶ ἡ γυνὴ Εσερων Αβια καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Ασχωδ πατέρα Θεκωε

And the sons of Jerameel the firstborn of Hesron, were Ram his firstborn, and Buna, and Aram, and Asom, and Achia.

Nati sunt autem filii Jerameel primogeniti Hesron, Ram primogenitus ejus, et Buna, et Aram, et Asom, et Achia.

καὶ ἦσαν υἱοὶ Ιερεμεηλ πρωτοτόκου Εσερων ὁ πρωτότοκος Ραμ καὶ Βαανα καὶ Αραν καὶ Ασομ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ

And Jerameel married another wife, named Atara, who was the mother of Onam.

Duxit quoque uxorem alteram Jerameel, nomine Atara, quæ fuit mater Onam.

καὶ ἦν γυνὴ ἑτέρα τῷ Ιερεμεηλ καὶ ὄνομα αὐτῇ Αταρα αὕτη ἐστὶν μήτηρ Οζομ

And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerameel, were Moos, Jamin, and Achar.

Sed et filii Ram primogeniti Jerameel fuerunt Moos, Jamin, et Achar.

καὶ ἦσαν υἱοὶ Ραμ πρωτοτόκου Ιερεμεηλ Μαας καὶ Ιαμιν καὶ Ακορ

And Onam had sons Semei, and Jada. And the sons of Semei: Nadab, and Abisur.

Onam autem habuit filios Semei et Jada. Filii autem Semei : Nadab et Abisur.

καὶ ἦσαν υἱοὶ Οζομ Σαμαι καὶ Ιαδαε καὶ υἱοὶ Σαμαι Ναδαβ καὶ Αβισουρ

And the name of Abisur’s wife was Abihail, who bore him Ahobban, and Molid.

Nomen vero uxoris Abisur, Abihail, quæ peperit ei Ahobban et Molid.

καὶ ὄνομα τῆς γυναικὸς Αβισουρ Αβιχαιλ καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Αχαβαρ καὶ τὸν Μωλιδ

And the sons of Nadab were Saled and Apphaim. And Saled died without children.

Filii autem Nadab fuerunt Saled et Apphaim. Mortuus est autem Saled absque liberis.

υἱοὶ Ναδαβ Σαλαδ καὶ Αφφαιμ καὶ ἀπέθανεν Σαλαδ οὐκ ἔχων τέκνα

But the son of Apphaim was Jesi: and Jesi begot Sesan. And Sesan begot Oholai.

Filius vero Apphaim, Jesi : qui Jesi genuit Sesan. Porro Sesan genuit Oholai.

καὶ υἱοὶ Αφφαιμ Ισεμιηλ καὶ υἱοὶ Ισεμιηλ Σωσαν καὶ υἱοὶ Σωσαν Αχλαι

And the sons of Jada the brother of Semei: Jether and Jonathan. And Jether also died without children.

Filii autem Jada fratris Semei : Jether, et Jonathan. Sed et Jether mortuus est absque liberis.

καὶ υἱοὶ Ιαδαε Αχισαμαι Ιεθερ Ιωναθαν καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ιεθερ οὐκ ἔχων τέκνα

But Jonathan begot Phaleth, and Ziza. These were the sons of Jerameel.

Porro Jonathan genuit Phaleth, et Ziza. Isti fuerunt filii Jerameel.

καὶ υἱοὶ Ιωναθαν Φαλεθ καὶ Οζαζα οὗτοι ἦσαν υἱοὶ Ιερεμεηλ

And Sesan had no sons, but daughters and a servant an Egyptian, named Jeraa.

Sesan autem non habuit filios, sed filias : et servum ægyptium nomine Jeraa.

καὶ οὐκ ἦσαν τῷ Σωσαν υἱοί ἀλλ' ἢ θυγατέρες καὶ τῷ Σωσαν παῖς Αἰγύπτιος καὶ ὄνομα αὐτῷ Ιωχηλ

And he gave him his daughter to wife: and she bore him Ethei.

Deditque ei filiam suam uxorem : quæ peperit ei Ethei.

καὶ ἔδωκεν Σωσαν τὴν θυγατέρα αὐτοῦ τῷ Ιωχηλ παιδὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς γυναῖκα καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Εθθι

And Ethei begot Nathan, and Nathan begot Zabad.

Ethei autem genuit Nathan, et Nathan genuit Zabad.

καὶ Εθθι ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ναθαν καὶ Ναθαν ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ζαβεδ

And Zabad begot Ophlal, and Ophlal begot Obed.

Zabad quoque genuit Ophlal, et Ophlal genuit Obed.

καὶ Ζαβεδ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Αφαληλ καὶ Αφαληλ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ωβηδ

Obed begot Jehu, Jehu begot Azarias.

Obed genuit Jehu, Jehu genuit Azariam,

καὶ Ωβηδ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ιηου καὶ Ιηου ἐγέννησεν τὸν Αζαριαν

Azarias begot Helles, and Helles begot Elasa.

Azarias genuit Helles, et Helles genuit Elasa.

καὶ Αζαριας ἐγέννησεν τὸν Χελλης καὶ Χελλης ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ελεασα

Elasa begot Sisamoi, Sisamoi begot Sellum,

Elasa genuit Sisamoi, Sisamoi genuit Sellum,

καὶ Ελεασα ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σοσομαι καὶ Σοσομαι ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαλουμ

Sellum begot Icamia, and Icamia begot Elisama.

Sellum genuit Icamiam, Icamia autem genuit Elisama.

καὶ Σαλουμ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ιεχεμιαν καὶ Ιεχεμιας ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ελισαμα

Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerameel were Mesa his firstborn, who was the father of Siph: and the sons of Maresa father of Hebron.

Filii autem Caleb fratris Jerameel : Mesa primogenitus ejus; ipse est pater Ziph : et filii Maresa patris Hebron.

καὶ υἱοὶ Χαλεβ ἀδελφοῦ Ιερεμεηλ Μαρισα ὁ πρωτότοκος αὐτοῦ οὗτος πατὴρ Ζιφ καὶ υἱοὶ Μαρισα πατρὸς Χεβρων

And the sons of Hebron, Core, and Thaphua, and Recem, and Samma.

Porro filii Hebron, Core, et Taphua, et Recem, et Samma.

καὶ υἱοὶ Χεβρων Κορε καὶ Θαπους καὶ Ρεκομ καὶ Σεμαα

And Samma begot Raham, the father of Jercaam, and Recem begot Sammai.

Samma autem genuit Raham, patrem Jercaam, et Recem genuit Sammai.

καὶ Σεμαα ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ραεμ πατέρα Ιερκααν καὶ Ιερκααν ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαμαι

The son of Sammai, Maon: and Maon the father of Bethsur.

Filius Sammai, Maon : et Maon pater Bethsur.

καὶ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ Μαων καὶ Μαων πατὴρ Βαιθσουρ

And Epha the concubine of Caleb bore Haran, and Mosa, and Gezez. And Haran begot Gezez.

Epha autem concubina Caleb peperit Haran, et Mosa, et Gezez. Porro Haran genuit Gezez.

καὶ Γαιφα ἡ παλλακὴ Χαλεβ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Αρραν καὶ τὸν Μωσα καὶ τὸν Γεζουε καὶ Αρραν ἐγέννησεν τὸν Γεζουε

And the sons of Jahaddai, Rogom, and Joathan, and Gesan, and Phalet, and Epha, and Saaph.

Filii autem Jahaddai, Regom, et Joathan, et Gesan, et Phalet, et Epha, et Saaph.

καὶ υἱοὶ Ιαδαι Ραγεμ καὶ Ιωαθαμ καὶ Γηρσωμ καὶ Φαλετ καὶ Γαιφα καὶ Σαγαφ

And Maacha the concubine of Caleb bore Saber, and Tharana.

Concubina Caleb Maacha, peperit Saber, et Tharana.

καὶ ἡ παλλακὴ Χαλεβ Μωχα ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαβερ καὶ τὸν Θαρχνα

And Saaph the father of Madmena begot Sue the father of Machbena, and the father of Gabaa. And the daughter of Caleb was Achsa.

Genuit autem Saaph pater Madmena Sue, patrem Machbena et patrem Gabaa. Filia vero Caleb fuit Achsa.

καὶ ἐγέννησεν Σαγαφ πατέρα Μαρμηνα καὶ τὸν Σαου πατέρα Μαχαβηνα καὶ πατέρα Γαιβαα καὶ θυγάτηρ Χαλεβ Ασχα

These were the sons of Caleb, the son of Hur the firstborn of Ephrata, Sobal the father of Cariathiarim.

Hi erant filii Caleb, filii Hur primogeniti Ephratha, Sobal pater Cariathiarim.

οὗτοι ἦσαν υἱοὶ Χαλεβ υἱοὶ Ωρ πρωτοτόκου Εφραθα Σωβαλ πατὴρ Καριαθιαριμ

Salma the father of Bethlehem, Hariph the father of Bethgader.

Salma pater Bethlehem, Hariph pater Bethgader.

Σαλωμων πατὴρ Βαιθλαεμ Αριμ πατὴρ Βαιθγεδωρ

And Sobal the father of Cariathiarim had sons: he that saw half of the places of rest.

Fuerunt autem filii Sobal patris Cariathiarim, qui videbat dimidium requietionum.

καὶ ἦσαν υἱοὶ τῷ Σωβαλ πατρὶ Καριαθιαριμ Αραα Εσι Αμμανιθ

And of the kindred of Cariathiarim, the Jethrites, and Aphuthites, and Semathites, and Maserites. Of them came the Saraites, and Esthaolites.

Et de cognatione Cariathiarim, Jethrei, et Aphuthei, et Semathei, et Maserei. Ex his egressi sunt Saraitæ, et Esthaolitæ.

Εμοσφεως πόλις Ιαϊρ Αιθαλιμ καὶ Μιφιθιμ καὶ Ησαμαθιμ καὶ Ημασαραϊμ ἐκ τούτων ἐξήλθοσαν οἱ Σαραθαῖοι καὶ οἱ Εσθαωλαῖοι

The sons of Salma, Bethlehem, and Netophathi, the crowns of the house of Joab, and half of the place of rest of Sarai.

Filii Salma, Bethlehem, et Netophathi, coronæ domus Joab, et dimidium requietionis Sarai:

υἱοὶ Σαλωμων Βαιθλαεμ Νετωφαθι Αταρωθ οἴκου Ιωαβ καὶ ἥμισυ τῆς Μαναθι Ησαρεϊ

And the families of the scribes that dwell in Jabes, singing and making melody, and abiding in tents. These are the Cinites, who came of Calor (Chamath) father of the house of Rechab.

cognationes quoque scribarum habitantium in Jabes, canentes atque resonantes, et in tabernaculis commorantes. Hi sunt Cinæi, qui venerunt de Calore patris domus Rechab.

πατριαὶ γραμματέων κατοικοῦντες Ιαβες Θαργαθιιμ Σαμαθιιμ Σωκαθιιμ οὗτοι οἱ Κιναῖοι οἱ ἐλθόντες ἐκ Μεσημα πατρὸς οἴκου Ρηχαβ
