Joshua 19

And the second lot came forth for the children of Simeon by their kindreds: and their inheritance was

Et egressa est sors secunda filiorum Simeon per cognationes suas : fuitque hæreditas

καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ δεύτερος κλῆρος τῶν υἱῶν Συμεων καὶ ἐγενήθη ἡ κληρονομία αὐτῶν ἀνὰ μέσον κλήρων υἱῶν Ιουδα

In the midst of the possession of the children of Juda: Bersabee and Sabee and Molada,

eorum in medio possessionis filiorum Juda : Bersabee et Sabee et Molada

καὶ ἐγενήθη ὁ κλῆρος αὐτῶν Βηρσαβεε καὶ Σαμαα καὶ Κωλαδαμ

And Hasersual, Bala and Asem,

et Hasersual, Bala et Asem

καὶ Αρσωλα καὶ Βωλα καὶ Ασομ

And Eltholad, Bethul and Harma,

et Eltholad, Bethul et Harma

καὶ Ελθουλα καὶ Βουλα καὶ Ερμα

And Siceleg and Bethmarchaboth and Hasersusa,

et Siceleg et Bethmarchaboth et Hasersusa

καὶ Σικελακ καὶ Βαιθμαχερεβ καὶ Σαρσουσιν

And Bethlebaoth and Sarohen: thirteen cities, and their villages.

et Bethlebaoth et Sarohen : civitates tredecim, et villæ earum.

καὶ Βαθαρωθ καὶ οἱ ἀγροὶ αὐτῶν πόλεις δέκα τρεῖς καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν

And Remmon and Athor and Asan: four cities, and their villages.

Ain et Remmon et Athar et Asan : civitates quatuor, et villæ earum:

Ερεμμων καὶ Θαλχα καὶ Εθερ καὶ Ασαν πόλεις τέσσαρες καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν

And all the villages round about these cities to Baalath Beer Ramath to the south quarter. This is the inheritance of the children of Simeon according to their kindreds,

omnes viculi per circuitum urbium istarum usque ad Baalath Beer Ramath contra australem plagam. Hæc est hæreditas filiorum Simeon juxta cognationes suas,

κύκλῳ τῶν πόλεων αὐτῶν ἕως Βαρεκ πορευομένων Βαμεθ κατὰ λίβα αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Συμεων κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν

In the possession and lot of the children of Juda: because it was too great, and therefore the children of Simeon had their possession in the midst of their inheritance.

in possessione et funiculo filiorum Juda : quia major erat, et idcirco filii Simeon possederunt in medio hæreditatis eorum.

ἀπὸ τοῦ κλήρου Ιουδα ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Συμεων ὅτι ἐγενήθη ἡ μερὶς υἱῶν Ιουδα μείζων τῆς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐκληρονόμησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Συμεων ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ κλήρου αὐτῶν

And the third lot fell to the children of Zabulon by their kindreds: and the border of their possession was unto Sarid.

Ceciditque sors tertia filiorum Zabulon per cognationes suas : factus est terminus possessionis eorum usque Sarid.

καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ τρίτος τῷ Ζαβουλων κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν ἔσται τὰ ὅρια τῆς κληρονομίας αὐτῶν Εσεδεκ

And it went up from the sea and from Merala, and came to Debbaseth: as far as the torrent, which is over against Jeconam.

Ascenditque de mari et Merala, et pervenit in Debbaseth, usque ad torrentem qui est contra Jeconam.

Γωλα ὅρια αὐτῶν ἡ θάλασσα καὶ Μαραγελλα καὶ συνάψει ἐπὶ Βαιθαραβα εἰς τὴν φάραγγα ἥ ἐστιν κατὰ πρόσωπον Ιεκμαν

And it returneth from Sarid eastward to the borders of Ceseleththabor: and it goeth out to Dabereth and ascendeth towards Japhie.

Et revertitur de Sared contra orientem in fines Ceseleththabor : et egreditur ad Dabereth, ascenditque contra Japhie.

καὶ ἀνέστρεψεν ἀπὸ Σεδδουκ ἐξ ἐναντίας ἀπ' ἀνατολῶν Βαιθσαμυς ἐπὶ τὰ ὅρια Χασελωθαιθ καὶ διελεύσεται ἐπὶ Δαβιρωθ καὶ προσαναβήσεται ἐπὶ Φαγγαι

And it passeth along from thence to the east side of Gethhepher and Thacasin: and goeth out to Remmon, Amthar and Noa.

Et inde pertransit usque ad orientalem plagam Gethepher et Thacasin : et egreditur in Remmon, Amthar et Noa.

καὶ ἐκεῖθεν περιελεύσεται ἐξ ἐναντίας ἐπ' ἀνατολὰς ἐπὶ Γεβερε ἐπὶ πόλιν Κατασεμ καὶ διελεύσεται ἐπὶ Ρεμμωνα Αμαθαρ Αοζα

And it turneth about to the north of Hanathon: and the outgoings thereof are the valley of Jephtahel,

Et circuit ad aquilonem Hanathon : suntque egressus ejus vallis Jephthaël,

καὶ περιελεύσεται ὅρια ἐπὶ βορρᾶν ἐπὶ Αμωθ καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτῶν ἐπὶ Γαιφαηλ

And Cateth and Naalol and Semeron and Jedala and Bethlehem: twelve cities and their villages.

et Cateth et Naalol et Semeron et Jerala et Bethlehem : civitates duodecim, et villæ earum.

καὶ Καταναθ καὶ Ναβααλ καὶ Συμοων καὶ Ιεριχω καὶ Βαιθμαν

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Zabulon by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.

Hæc est hæreditas tribus filiorum Zabulon per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.

αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Ζαβουλων κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν πόλεις καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν

The fourth lot came out to Issachar by their kindreds.

Issachar egressa est sors quarta per cognationes suas:

καὶ τῷ Ισσαχαρ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ τέταρτος

And his inheritance was Jezrael and Casaloth and Sunem,

fuitque ejus hæreditas Jezraël et Casaloth et Sunem

καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν Ιαζηλ καὶ Χασαλωθ καὶ Σουναν

And Hapharaim and Seon and Anaharath,

et Hapharaim et Seon, et Anaharath

καὶ Αγιν καὶ Σιωνα καὶ Ρεηρωθ καὶ Αναχερεθ

And Rabboth and Cesion, Abes,

et Rabboth et Cesion, Abes,

καὶ Δαβιρων καὶ Κισων καὶ Ρεβες

And Rameth and Engannim and Enhadda and Bethpheses.

et Rameth, et Engannim, et Enhadda et Bethpheses.

καὶ Ρεμμας καὶ Ιεων καὶ Τομμαν καὶ Αιμαρεκ καὶ Βηρσαφης

And the border thereof cometh to Thabor and Sehesima and Bethsames: and the outgoings thereof shall be at the Jordan: sixteen cities, and their villages.

Et pervenit terminus ejus usque Thabor et Sehesima et Bethsames, eruntque exitus ejus Jordanis : civitates sedecim, et villæ earum.

καὶ συνάψει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ Γαιθβωρ καὶ ἐπὶ Σαλιμ κατὰ θάλασσαν καὶ Βαιθσαμυς καὶ ἔσται αὐτοῦ ἡ διέξοδος τῶν ὁρίων ὁ Ιορδάνης

This is the possession of the sons of Issachar by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.

Hæc est possessio filiorum Issachar per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.

αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Ισσαχαρ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν αἱ πόλεις καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν

And the fifth lot fell to the tribe of the children of Aser by their kindreds:

Ceciditque sors quinta tribui filiorum Aser per cognationes suas:

καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ πέμπτος Ασηρ

And their border was Halcath and Chali and Beten and Axaph,

fuitque terminus eorum Halcath et Chali et Beten et Axaph

καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν ἐξ Ελεκεθ καὶ Αλεφ καὶ Βαιθοκ καὶ Κεαφ

And Elmelech and Amaad and Messal: and it reacheth to Carmel by the sea and Sihor and Labanath,

et Elmelech et Amaad et Messal : et pervenit usque ad Carmelum maris et Sihor et Labanath,

καὶ Ελιμελεκ καὶ Αμιηλ καὶ Μαασα καὶ συνάψει τῷ Καρμήλῳ κατὰ θάλασσαν καὶ τῷ Σιων καὶ Λαβαναθ

And it returneth towards the east to Bethdagon: and passeth along to Zabulon and to the valley of Jephthael towards the north to Bethemec and Nehiel. And it goeth out to the left side of Cabul,

ac revertitur contra orientem Bethdagon : et pertransit usque Zabulon et vallem Jephthaël contra aquilonem in Bethemec et Nehiel. Egrediturque ad lævam Cabul,

καὶ ἐπιστρέψει ἀπ' ἀνατολῶν ἡλίου καὶ Βαιθεγενεθ καὶ συνάψει τῷ Ζαβουλων καὶ ἐκ Γαι καὶ Φθαιηλ κατὰ βορρᾶν καὶ εἰσελεύσεται ὅρια Σαφθαιβαιθμε καὶ Ιναηλ καὶ διελεύσεται εἰς Χωβα μασομελ

And to Abaran and Rohob and Hamon and Cana, as far as the great Sidon.

et Abran et Rohob et Hamon et Cana, usque ad Sidonem magnam.

καὶ Ελβων καὶ Ρααβ καὶ Εμεμαων καὶ Κανθαν ἕως Σιδῶνος τῆς μεγάλης

And it returneth to Horma to the strong city of Tyre, and to Hosa: and the outgoings thereof shall be at the sea from the portion of Achziba:

Revertiturque in Horma usque ad civitatem munitissimam Tyrum, et usque Hosa : eruntque exitus ejus in mare de funiculo Achziba:

καὶ ἀναστρέψει τὰ ὅρια εἰς Ραμα καὶ ἕως πηγῆς Μασφασσατ καὶ τῶν Τυρίων καὶ ἀναστρέψει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ Ιασιφ καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτοῦ ἡ θάλασσα καὶ ἀπὸ Λεβ καὶ Εχοζοβ

And Amma and Aphec and Rohob: twenty-two cities, and their villages.

et Amma et Aphec et Rohob : civitates viginti duæ, et villæ earum.

καὶ Αρχωβ καὶ Αφεκ καὶ Ρααυ

This is the possession of the children of Aser by their kindreds, and the cities and their villages.

Hæc est possessio filiorum Aser per cognationes suas, urbesque et viculi earum.

αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Ασηρ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν πόλεις καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν

The sixth lot came out to the sons of Nephtali by their families:

Filiorum Nephthali sexta sors cecidit per familias suas:

καὶ τῷ Νεφθαλι ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ ἕκτος

And the border began from Heleph and Elon to Saananim, and Adami, which is Neceb, and Jebnael even to Lecum: and their outgoings unto the Jordan:

et cœpit terminus de Heleph et Elon in Saananim, et Adami, quæ est Neceb, et Jebnaël usque Lecum : et egressus eorum usque ad Jordanem:

καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν Μοολαμ καὶ Μωλα καὶ Βεσεμιιν καὶ Αρμε καὶ Ναβωκ καὶ Ιεφθαμαι ἕως Δωδαμ καὶ ἐγενήθησαν αἱ διέξοδοι αὐτοῦ ὁ Ιορδάνης

And the border returneth westward to Azanotthabor, and goeth out from thence to Hucuca, and passeth along to Zabulon southward, and to Aser westward, and to Juda upon the Jordan towards the rising of the sun.

revertiturque terminus contra occidentem in Azanotthabor, atque inde egreditur in Hucuca, et pertransit in Zabulon contra meridiem, et in Aser contra occidentem, et in Juda ad Jordanem contra ortum solis:

καὶ ἐπιστρέψει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ θάλασσαν Εναθ Θαβωρ καὶ διελεύσεται ἐκεῖθεν ιακανα καὶ συνάψει τῷ Ζαβουλων ἀπὸ νότου καὶ Ασηρ συνάψει κατὰ θάλασσαν καὶ ὁ Ιορδάνης ἀπ' ἀνατολῶν ἡλίου

And the strong cities are Assedim, Ser, and Emath, and Reccath and Cenereth,

civitates munitissimæ, Assedim, Ser, et Emath, et Reccath et Cenereth,

καὶ αἱ πόλεις τειχήρεις τῶν Τυρίων Τύρος καὶ Ωμαθα Δακεθ καὶ Κενερεθ

And Edema and Arama, Asor,

et Edema et Arama, Asor

καὶ Αρμαιθ καὶ Αραηλ καὶ Ασωρ

And Cedes and Edri, Enhasor,

et Cedes et Edrai, Enhasor,

καὶ Καδες καὶ Ασσαρι καὶ πηγὴ Ασορ

And Jeron and Magdalel, Horem, and Bethanath and Bethsames: nineteen cities, and their villages.

et Jeron et Magdalel, Horem et Bethanath et Bethsames : civitates decem et novem, et villæ earum.

καὶ Κερωε καὶ Μεγαλα Αριμ καὶ Βαιθθαμε καὶ Θεσσαμυς

This is the possession of the tribe of the children of Nephtali by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.

Hæc est possessio tribus filiorum Nephthali per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.

αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Νεφθαλι

The seventh lot came out to the tribe of the children of Dan by their families,

Tribui filiorum Dan per familias suas egressa est sors septima:

καὶ τῷ Δαν ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ ἕβδομος

And the border of their possession was Saraa and Esthaol, and Hirsemes, that is, the city of the sun,

et fuit terminus possessionis ejus Sara et Esthaol, et Hirsemes, id est, civitas solis.

καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν Σαραθ καὶ Ασα πόλεις Σαμμαυς

Selebin and Aialon and Jethela,

Selebin et Ajalon et Jethela,

καὶ Σαλαβιν καὶ Αμμων καὶ Σιλαθα

Elon and Themna and Acron,

Elon et Themna et Acron,

καὶ Αιλων καὶ Θαμναθα καὶ Ακκαρων

Elthece, Gebbethon and Balaath,

Elthece, Gebbethon et Balaath,

καὶ Αλκαθα καὶ Βεγεθων καὶ Γεβεελαν

And Juda and Bane and Barach and Gethremmon:

et Jud et Bane et Barach et Gethremmon:

καὶ Αζωρ καὶ Βαναιβακατ καὶ Γεθρεμμων

And Mejarcon and Arecon, with the border that looketh towards Joppe,

et Mejarcon et Arecon, cum termino qui respicit Joppen,

καὶ ἀπὸ θαλάσσης Ιερακων ὅριον πλησίον Ιόππης

And is terminated there. And the children of Dan went up and fought against Lesem, and took it: and they put it to the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt in it, calling the name of it Lesem Dan, by the name of Dan their father.

et ipso fine concluditur. Ascenderuntque filii Dan, et pugnaverunt contra Lesem, ceperuntque eam : et percusserunt eam in ore gladii, et possederunt, et habitaverunt in ea, vocantes nomen ejus Lesem Dan, ex nomine Dan patris sui.

αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Δαν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν αἱ πόλεις αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ οὐκ ἐξέθλιψαν οἱ υἱοὶ Δαν τὸν Αμορραῖον τὸν θλίβοντα αὐτοὺς ἐν τῷ ὄρει καὶ οὐκ εἴων αὐτοὺς οἱ Αμορραῖοι καταβῆναι εἰς τὴν κοιλάδα καὶ ἔθλιψαν ἀπ' αὐτῶν τὸ ὅριον τῆς μερίδος αὐτῶν

This is the possession of the tribe of the sons of Dan, by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.

Hæc est possessio tribus filiorum Dan, per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum.

καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ιουδα καὶ ἐπολέμησαν τὴν Λαχις καὶ κατελάβοντο αὐτὴν καὶ ἐπάταξαν αὐτὴν ἐν στόματι μαχαίρας καὶ κατῴκησαν αὐτὴν καὶ ἐκάλεσαν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῆς Λασενδακ καὶ ὁ Αμορραῖος ὑπέμεινεν τοῦ κατοικεῖν ἐν Ελωμ καὶ ἐν Σαλαμιν καὶ ἐβαρύνθη ἡ χεὶρ τοῦ Εφραιμ ἐπ' αὐτούς καὶ ἐγένοντο αὐτοῖς εἰς φόρον

And when he had made an end of dividing the land by lot to each one by their tribes, the children of Israel gave a possession to Joshua the son of Nun in the midst of them,

Cumque complesset sorte dividere terram singulis per tribus suas, dederunt filii Israël possessionem Josue filio Nun in medio sui,

καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ἐμβατεῦσαι τὴν γῆν κατὰ τὸ ὅριον αὐτῶν καὶ ἔδωκαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ κλῆρον Ἰησοῖ τῷ υἱῷ Ναυη ἐν αὐτοῖς

According to the commandment of the Lord, the city which he asked for, Thamnath Saraa, in mount Ephraim: and he built up the city, and dwelt in it.

juxta præceptum Domini, urbem quam postulavit Thamnath Saraa in monte Ephraim : et ædificavit civitatem, habitavitque in ea.

διὰ προστάγματος τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ἔδωκαν αὐτῷ τὴν πόλιν ἣν ᾐτήσατο Θαμνασαραχ ἥ ἐστιν ἐν τῷ ὄρει Εφραιμ καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν τὴν πόλιν καὶ κατῴκει ἐν αὐτῇ

These are the possessions which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the princes of the families, and of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed by lot in Silo, before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, and they divided the land.

Hæ sunt possessiones, quas sorte diviserunt Eleazar sacerdos, et Josue filius Nun, et principes familiarum ac tribuum filiorum Israël in Silo, coram Domino ad ostium tabernaculi testimonii : partitique sunt terram.

αὗται αἱ διαιρέσεις ἃς κατεκληρονόμησεν Ελεαζαρ ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ Ἰησοῦς ὁ τοῦ Ναυη καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς Ισραηλ κατὰ κλήρους ἐν Σηλω ἐναντίον κυρίου παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ἐμβατεῦσαι τὴν γῆν
