Numbers 4

And the Lord spoke to Moses, and Aaron, saying:

Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen et Aaron, dicens:

καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων λέγων

Take the sum of the sons of Caath from the midst of the Levites, by their houses and families.

Tolle summam filiorum Caath de medio Levitarum per domos et familias suas,

λαβὲ τὸ κεφάλαιον τῶν υἱῶν Κααθ ἐκ μέσου υἱῶν Λευι κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν

From thirty years old and upward, to fifty years old, of all that go in to stand and to minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.

a trigesimo anno et supra, usque ad quinquagesimum annum, omnium qui ingrediuntur ut stent et ministrent in tabernaculo fœderis.

ἀπὸ εἴκοσι καὶ πέντε ἐτῶν καὶ ἐπάνω καὶ ἕως πεντήκοντα ἐτῶν πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν ποιῆσαι πάντα τὰ ἔργα ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου

This is the service of the sons of Caath:

Hic est cultus filiorum Caath : tabernaculum fœderis, et Sanctum sanctorum

καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ἔργα τῶν υἱῶν Κααθ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἅγιον τῶν ἁγίων

When the camp is; to set forward, Aaron and his sons shall go into the tabernacle of the covenant, and the holy of holies, and shall take down the veil that hangeth before the door, and shall wrap up the ark of the testimony in it,

ingredientur Aaron et filii ejus, quando movenda sunt castra, et deponent velum quod pendet ante fores, involventque eo arcam testimonii,

καὶ εἰσελεύσεται Ααρων καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ ὅταν ἐξαίρῃ ἡ παρεμβολή καὶ καθελοῦσιν τὸ καταπέτασμα τὸ συσκιάζον καὶ κατακαλύψουσιν ἐν αὐτῷ τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ μαρτυρίου

And shall cover it again with a cover of violet skins, and shall spread over it a cloth all of violet, and shall put in the bars.

et operient rursum velamine janthinarum pellium, extendentque desuper pallium totum hyacinthinum, et inducent vectes.

καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν ἐπ' αὐτὸ κατακάλυμμα δέρμα ὑακίνθινον καὶ ἐπιβαλοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτὴν ἱμάτιον ὅλον ὑακίνθινον ἄνωθεν καὶ διεμβαλοῦσιν τοὺς ἀναφορεῖς

They shall wrap up also the table of proposition in a cloth of violet, and shall put with it the censers and little mortars, the cups and bowls to pour out the libations: the loaves shall be always on it:

Mensam quoque propositionis involvent hyacinthino pallio, et ponent cum ea thuribula et mortariola, cyathos et crateras ad liba fundenda : panes semper in ea erunt:

καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν τράπεζαν τὴν προκειμένην ἐπιβαλοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτὴν ἱμάτιον ὁλοπόρφυρον καὶ τὰ τρυβλία καὶ τὰς θυίσκας καὶ τοὺς κυάθους καὶ τὰ σπονδεῖα ἐν οἷς σπένδει καὶ οἱ ἄρτοι οἱ διὰ παντὸς ἐπ' αὐτῆς ἔσονται

And they shall spread over it a cloth of scarlet, which again they shall cover with a covering of violet skins, and shall put in the bars.

extendentque desuper pallium coccineum, quod rursum operient velamento janthinarum pellium, et inducent vectes.

καὶ ἐπιβαλοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτὴν ἱμάτιον κόκκινον καὶ καλύψουσιν αὐτὴν καλύμματι δερματίνῳ ὑακινθίνῳ καὶ διεμβαλοῦσιν δι' αὐτῆς τοὺς ἀναφορεῖς

They shall take also a cloth of violet wherewith they shall cover the candlestick with the lamps and tongs thereof and the snuffers and all the oil vessels, which are necessary for the dressing of the lamps:

Sument et pallium hyacinthinum, quo operient candelabrum cum lucernis et forcipibus suis et emunctoriis et cunctis vasis olei, quæ ad concinnandas lucernas necessaria sunt:

καὶ λήμψονται ἱμάτιον ὑακίνθινον καὶ καλύψουσιν τὴν λυχνίαν τὴν φωτίζουσαν καὶ τοὺς λύχνους αὐτῆς καὶ τὰς λαβίδας αὐτῆς καὶ τὰς ἐπαρυστρίδας αὐτῆς καὶ πάντα τὰ ἀγγεῖα τοῦ ἐλαίου οἷς λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς

And over all they shall put a cover of violet skins and put in the bars.

et super omnia ponent operimentum janthinarum pellium, et inducent vectes.

καὶ ἐμβαλοῦσιν αὐτὴν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς εἰς κάλυμμα δερμάτινον ὑακίνθινον καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν αὐτὴν ἐπ' ἀναφορέων

And they shall wrap up the golden altar also in a cloth of violet, and shall spread over it a cover of violet skins, and put in the bars.

Necnon et altare aureum involvent hyacinthino vestimento, et extendent desuper operimentum janthinarum pellium, inducentque vectes.

καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χρυσοῦν ἐπικαλύψουσιν ἱμάτιον ὑακίνθινον καὶ καλύψουσιν αὐτὸ καλύμματι δερματίνῳ ὑακινθίνῳ καὶ διεμβαλοῦσιν τοὺς ἀναφορεῖς αὐτοῦ

All the vessels wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, they shall wrap up in a cloth of violet, and shall spread over it a cover of violet skins, and put in the bars.

Omnia vasa, quibus ministratur in sanctuario, involvent hyacinthino pallio, et extendent desuper operimentum janthinarum pellium, inducentque vectes.

καὶ λήμψονται πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ λειτουργικά ὅσα λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐν τοῖς ἁγίοις καὶ ἐμβαλοῦσιν εἰς ἱμάτιον ὑακίνθινον καὶ καλύψουσιν αὐτὰ καλύμματι δερματίνῳ ὑακινθίνῳ καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν ἐπὶ ἀναφορεῖς

They shall cleanse the altar also from the ashes, and shall wrap it up in a purple cloth,

Sed et altare mundabunt cinere, et involvent illud purpureo vestimento,

καὶ τὸν καλυπτῆρα ἐπιθήσει ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον καὶ ἐπικαλύψουσιν ἐπ' αὐτὸ ἱμάτιον ὁλοπόρφυρον

And shall put it with all the vessels that they use in the ministry thereof, that is to say, firepans, fleshhooks and forks, pothooks and shovels. They shall cover all the vessels of the altar together with a covering of violet skins, and shall put in the bars.

ponentque cum eo omnia vasa, quibus in ministerio ejus utuntur, id est, ignium receptacula, fuscinulas ac tridentes, uncinos et batilla. Cuncta vasa altaris operient simul velamine janthinarum pellium, et inducent vectes.

καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν ἐπ' αὐτὸ πάντα τὰ σκεύη ὅσοις λειτουργοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτὸ ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ τὰ πυρεῖα καὶ τὰς κρεάγρας καὶ τὰς φιάλας καὶ τὸν καλυπτῆρα καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ ἐπιβαλοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτὸ κάλυμμα δερμάτινον ὑακίνθινον καὶ διεμβαλοῦσιν τοὺς ἀναφορεῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ λήμψονται ἱμάτιον πορφυροῦν καὶ συγκαλύψουσιν τὸν λουτῆρα καὶ τὴν βάσιν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐμβαλοῦσιν αὐτὰ εἰς κάλυμμα δερμάτινον ὑακίνθινον καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν ἐπὶ ἀναφορεῖς

And when Aaron and his sons have wrapped up the sanctuary and the vessels thereof at the removing of the camp, then shall the sons of Caath enter in to carry the things wrapped up: and they shall not touch the vessels of the sanctuary, lest they die. These are the burdens of the sons of Caath: in the tabernacle of the covenant:

Cumque involverint Aaron et filii ejus sanctuarium et omnia vasa ejus in commotione castrorum, tunc intrabunt filii Caath ut portent involuta : et non tangent vasa sanctuarii, ne moriantur. Ista sunt onera filiorum Caath in tabernaculo fœderis:

καὶ συντελέσουσιν Ααρων καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καλύπτοντες τὰ ἅγια καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ ἅγια ἐν τῷ ἐξαίρειν τὴν παρεμβολήν καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσελεύσονται υἱοὶ Κααθ αἴρειν καὶ οὐχ ἅψονται τῶν ἁγίων ἵνα μὴ ἀποθάνωσιν ταῦτα ἀροῦσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Κααθ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου

And over them shall be Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, to whose charge pertaineth the oil to dress the lamps, and the sweet incense, and the sacrifice, that is always offered, and the oil of unction, and whatsoever pertaineth to the service of the tabernacle, and of all the vessels that are in the sanctuary.

super quos erit Eleazar filius Aaron sacerdotis, ad cujus curam pertinet oleum ad concinnandas lucernas, et compositionis incensum, et sacrificium, quod semper offertur, et oleum unctionis, et quidquid ad cultum tabernaculi pertinet, omniumque vasorum, quæ in sanctuario sunt.

ἐπίσκοπος Ελεαζαρ υἱὸς Ααρων τοῦ ἱερέως τὸ ἔλαιον τοῦ φωτὸς καὶ τὸ θυμίαμα τῆς συνθέσεως καὶ ἡ θυσία ἡ καθ' ἡμέραν καὶ τὸ ἔλαιον τῆς χρίσεως ἡ ἐπισκοπὴ ὅλης τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτῇ ἐν τῷ ἁγίῳ ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις

And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:

Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen et Aaron, dicens:

καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων λέγων

Destroy not the people of Caath from the midst of the Levites:

Nolite perdere populum Caath de medio Levitarum:

μὴ ὀλεθρεύσητε τῆς φυλῆς τὸν δῆμον τὸν Κααθ ἐκ μέσου τῶν Λευιτῶν

But do this to them, that they may live, and not die, by touching the holies of holies. Aaron and his sons shall go in, and they shall appoint every man his work, and shall divide the burdens that every man is to carry.

sed hoc facite eis, ut vivant, et non moriantur, si tetigerint Sancta sanctorum. Aaron et filii ejus intrabunt, ipsique disponent opera singulorum, et divident quid portare quis debeat.

τοῦτο ποιήσατε αὐτοῖς καὶ ζήσονται καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀποθάνωσιν προσπορευομένων αὐτῶν πρὸς τὰ ἅγια τῶν ἁγίων Ααρων καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ προσπορευέσθωσαν καὶ καταστήσουσιν αὐτοὺς ἕκαστον κατὰ τὴν ἀναφορὰν αὐτοῦ

Let not others by any curiosity see the things that are in the sanctuary before they be wrapped up, otherwise they shall die.

Alii nulla curiositate videant quæ sunt in sanctuario priusquam involvantur, alioquin morientur.

καὶ οὐ μὴ εἰσέλθωσιν ἰδεῖν ἐξάπινα τὰ ἅγια καὶ ἀποθανοῦνται

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων

Take the sum of the sons of Gerson also by their houses and families and kindreds.

Tolle summam etiam filiorum Gerson per domos ac familias et cognationes suas,

λαβὲ τὴν ἀρχὴν τῶν υἱῶν Γεδσων καὶ τούτους κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν

From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old. Number them all that go in and minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.

a triginta annis et supra, usque ad annos quinquaginta. Numera omnes qui ingrediuntur et ministrant in tabernaculo fœderis.

ἀπὸ πεντεκαιεικοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς ἐπίσκεψαι αὐτούς πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν καὶ ποιεῖν τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου

This is the office of the family of the Gersonites:

Hoc est officium familiæ Gersonitarum,

αὕτη ἡ λειτουργία τοῦ δήμου τοῦ Γεδσων λειτουργεῖν καὶ αἴρειν

To carry the curtains of the tabernacle and the roof of the covenant, the other covering, and the violet covering over all, and the hanging that hangeth in the entry of the tabernacle of the covenant,

ut portent cortinas tabernaculi et tectum fœderis, operimentum aliud, et super omnia velamen janthinum tentoriumque quod pendet in introitu tabernaculi fœderis,

καὶ ἀρεῖ τὰς δέρρεις τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ τὸ κάλυμμα αὐτῆς καὶ τὸ κάλυμμα τὸ ὑακίνθινον τὸ ὂν ἐπ' αὐτῆς ἄνωθεν καὶ τὸ κάλυμμα τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου

The curtains of the court, and the veil in the entry that is before tabernacle. All things that pertain to the altar, the cords and the vessels of the ministry,

cortinas atrii, et velum in introitu quod est ante tabernaculum. Omnia quæ ad altare pertinent, funiculos, et vasa ministerii,

καὶ τὰ ἱστία τῆς αὐλῆς ὅσα ἐπὶ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ τὰ περισσὰ καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ λειτουργικά ὅσα λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς ποιήσουσιν

The sons of Gerson shall carry, by the commandment of Aaron and his sons: and each man shall know to what burden he must be assigned.

jubente Aaron et filiis ejus, portabunt filii Gerson : et scient singuli cui debeant oneri mancipari.

κατὰ στόμα Ααρων καὶ τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ ἔσται ἡ λειτουργία τῶν υἱῶν Γεδσων κατὰ πάσας τὰς λειτουργίας αὐτῶν καὶ κατὰ πάντα τὰ ἀρτὰ δι' αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπισκέψῃ αὐτοὺς ἐξ ὀνομάτων πάντα τὰ ἀρτὰ ὑπ' αὐτῶν

This is the service of the family of the Gersonites in the tabernacle of the covenant, and they shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

Hic est cultus familiæ Gersonitarum in tabernaculo fœderis, eruntque sub manu Ithamar filii Aaron sacerdotis.

αὕτη ἡ λειτουργία τῶν υἱῶν Γεδσων ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἡ φυλακὴ αὐτῶν ἐν χειρὶ Ιθαμαρ τοῦ υἱοῦ Ααρων τοῦ ἱερέως

Thou shalt reckon up the sons of Merari also by the families and houses of their fathers,

Filios quoque Merari per familias et domos patrum suorum recensebis,

υἱοὶ Μεραρι κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτούς

From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to the office of their ministry, and to the service of the covenant of the testimony.

a triginta annis et supra, usque ad annos quinquaginta, omnes qui ingrediuntur ad officium ministerii sui et cultum fœderis testimonii.

ἀπὸ πεντεκαιεικοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτούς πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν τὰ ἔργα τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου

These are their burdens: They shall carry the boards of the tabernacle and the bars thereof, the pillars and their sockets,

Hæc sunt onera eorum : portabunt tabulas tabernaculi et vectes ejus, columnas ac bases earum,

καὶ ταῦτα τὰ φυλάγματα τῶν αἰρομένων ὑπ' αὐτῶν κατὰ πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου τὰς κεφαλίδας τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ τοὺς μοχλοὺς καὶ τοὺς στύλους αὐτῆς καὶ τὰς βάσεις αὐτῆς καὶ τὸ κατακάλυμμα καὶ αἱ βάσεις αὐτῶν καὶ οἱ στύλοι αὐτῶν καὶ τὸ κατακάλυμμα τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς

The pillars also of the court round about, with their sockets and pins and cords. They shall receive by account all the vessels and furniture, and so shall carry them.

columnas quoque atrii per circuitum cum basibus et paxillis et funibus suis. Omnia vasa et supellectilem ad numerum accipient, sicque portabunt.

καὶ τοὺς στύλους τῆς αὐλῆς κύκλῳ καὶ αἱ βάσεις αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς στύλους τοῦ καταπετάσματος τῆς πύλης τῆς αὐλῆς καὶ τὰς βάσεις αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς πασσάλους αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς κάλους αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα τὰ λειτουργήματα αὐτῶν ἐξ ὀνομάτων ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτοὺς καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τῆς φυλακῆς τῶν αἰρομένων ὑπ' αὐτῶν

This is the office of the family of the Merarites, and their ministry in the tabernacle of the covenant: and they shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

αὕτη ἡ λειτουργία δήμου υἱῶν Μεραρι ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔργοις αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἐν χειρὶ Ιθαμαρ υἱοῦ Ααρων τοῦ ἱερέως

So Moses and Aaron and the princes of the synagogue reckoned up the sons of Caath, by their kindreds and the houses of their fathers,

Recensuerunt igitur Moyses et Aaron et principes synagogæ filios Caath per cognationes et domos patrum suorum,

καὶ ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες Ισραηλ τοὺς υἱοὺς Κααθ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν

From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to the ministry of the tabernacle of the covenant:

a triginta annis et supra, usque ad annum quinquagesimum, omnes qui ingrediuntur ad ministerium tabernaculi fœderis:

ἀπὸ πεντεκαιεικοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν καὶ ποιεῖν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου

And they were found two thousand seven hundred and fifty.

et inventi sunt duo millia septingenti quinquaginta.

καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν δισχίλιοι διακόσιοι πεντήκοντα

This is the number of the people of Caath that go in to the tabernacle of the covenant: these did Moses and Aaron number according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

Hic est numerus populi Caath qui intrant tabernaculum fœderis : hos numeravit Moyses et Aaron juxta sermonem Domini per manum Moysi.

αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις δήμου Κααθ πᾶς ὁ λειτουργῶν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου καθὰ ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων διὰ φωνῆς κυρίου ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ

The sons of Gerson also were numbered by the kindreds and houses of their fathers,

Numerati sunt et filii Gerson per cognationes et domos patrum suorum,

καὶ ἐπεσκέπησαν υἱοὶ Γεδσων κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν

From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to minister in the tabernacle of the covenant:

a triginta annos et supra, usque ad quinquagesimum annum, omnes qui ingrediuntur ut ministrent in tabernaculo fœderis:

ἀπὸ πεντεκαιεικοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν καὶ ποιεῖν τὰ ἔργα ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου

And they were found two thousand six hundred and thirty.

et inventi sunt duo millia sexcenti triginta.

καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν δισχίλιοι ἑξακόσιοι τριάκοντα

This is the people of the Gersonites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the Lord.

Hic est populus Gersonitarum, quos numeraverunt Moyses et Aaron juxta verbum Domini.

αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις δήμου υἱῶν Γεδσων πᾶς ὁ λειτουργῶν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου οὓς ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων διὰ φωνῆς κυρίου ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ

The sons of Merari also were numbered by the kindreds and houses of their fathers,

Numerati sunt et filii Merari per cognationes et domos patrum suorum,

ἐπεσκέπησαν δὲ καὶ δῆμος υἱῶν Μεραρι κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν

From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to fulfil the rites of the tabernacle of the covenant:

a triginta annis et supra, usque ad annum quinquagesimum, omnes qui ingrediuntur ad explendos ritus tabernaculi fœderis:

ἀπὸ πεντεκαιεικοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν πρὸς τὰ ἔργα τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου

And they were found three thousand two hundred.

et inventi sunt tria millia ducenti.

καὶ ἐγενήθη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν τρισχίλιοι καὶ διακόσιοι

This is the number of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron reckoned up according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

Hic est numerus filiorum Merari, quos recensuerunt Moyses et Aaron juxta imperium Domini per manum Moysi.

αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις δήμου υἱῶν Μεραρι οὓς ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων διὰ φωνῆς κυρίου ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ

All that were reckoned up of the Levites, and whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel took by name, by the kindreds and houses of their fathers,

Omnes qui recensiti sunt de Levitis, et quos recenseri fecit ad nomen Moyses et Aaron, et principes Israël per cognationes et domos patrum suorum,

πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι οὓς ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες Ισραηλ τοὺς Λευίτας κατὰ δήμους κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν

From thirty years old and upward, until fifty years old, that go into the ministry of the tabernacle, and to carry the burdens,

a triginta annis et supra, usque ad annum quinquagesimum, ingredientes ad ministerium tabernaculi, et onera portanda,

ἀπὸ πεντεκαιεικοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος πρὸς τὸ ἔργον τῶν ἔργων καὶ τὰ ἔργα τὰ αἰρόμενα ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου

fuerunt simul octo millia quingenti octoginta.

καὶ ἐγενήθησαν οἱ ἐπισκεπέντες ὀκτακισχίλιοι πεντακόσιοι ὀγδοήκοντα

Moses reckoned them up according to the word of the Lord, every one according to their office and burdens, as the Lord had commanded him.

Juxta verbum Domini recensuit eos Moyses, unumquemque juxta officium et onera sua, sicut præceperat ei Dominus.

διὰ φωνῆς κυρίου ἐπεσκέψατο αὐτοὺς ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ ἄνδρα κατ' ἄνδρα ἐπὶ τῶν ἔργων αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπὶ ὧν αἴρουσιν αὐτοί καὶ ἐπεσκέπησαν ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ
