Ordinary Time II

Continuing in Discipleship After Pentecost

What Is Ordinary Time II?

Ordinary Time II is the second part of Ordinary Time. It begins after the Easter Season and Pentecost and continues until Advent begins again.

During this time, the Church continues to meditate on the teachings, miracles, parables, and mission of Jesus Christ.

A Season of Perseverance

Ordinary Time II teaches Catholics to remain faithful after the great celebrations of Easter and Pentecost.

It is a season of steady growth, daily conversion, and mature discipleship.

Main Themes

  • Living as disciples of the risen Christ.
  • Cooperating with the grace of the Holy Spirit.
  • Growing in charity, prayer, and virtue.
  • Persevering in ordinary daily holiness.
  • Preparing the heart for the return of Advent.

Living Ordinary Time II

Catholics can live Ordinary Time II by attending Mass faithfully, praying daily, serving others, practicing charity, reading Scripture, and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide ordinary life.

This season reminds us that the grace received in Easter and Pentecost must bear fruit in daily faithfulness.
