About the Prologue
The Prologue serves as the introduction to the Rule of St. Benedict. In it, St. Benedict invites us to listen attentively to God’s voice, awaken from spiritual sleep, seek the path of life, and enter what he calls the “School of the Lord’s Service.”
These reflections are not a commentary on every line of the Rule. Rather, they are personal reflections inspired by the wisdom of St. Benedict and its application to daily Christian life.
